It wasn’t the kitchen. It wasn’t the serve. But my foot still paid the price.
This week I broke one of the biggest rules in pickleball.
No, not stepping in the kitchen.
(Not serving too high, either.)
Worse.
I showed up to the court with zero warm-up…
after spending 8 hours sitting at a desk.
By point three, my calves were screaming,
my foot was tight,
and my brain was still in current home sales statistics.
Lesson learned:
Warm up your body if you want your game to move forward.
This sport’s teaching me more than strategy.
It’s teaching me respect for the process.
