League Break...and the Boot
The courts are quiet, my foot’s still healing, and the itch to play is real.
The season wrapped. The league’s on break.
And me?
I’m still rocking the boot.
No drills.
No games.
No hero sprints to the kitchen line.
Just rest. Recovery. And watching from the sidelines with a mix of frustration and focus.
Everyone keeps asking—
“You playing next session?”
“You back in?”
Truth is…not yet.
But I’m still here. Still in it. Still part of this thing we’re all building together.
Last week at RARA 102 with Blair & Morn reminded me that being “in the game” doesn’t always mean having a paddle in your hand.
📆 This Friday, I’m sharing what happened when the paddles were down—but the people showed up.
It’s the most fun I’ve had off the court yet.
Can’t wait to show you.
—Still in the game, just healing🦶
p.s. 📩 Know someone who’s missing the court (or the crew)? Forward this their way or share it with your pickleball group — I’d love to have them in the fam.
I’m on the same “boot.” 😜 I completed 101 and 102 recently against doctor’s and PT’s orders, but I definitely have to rest my right knee (from years of wear tear - running half marathons, mountain biking, Zumba, and now PB….yikes!) til I finish my PT sessions for this month and after I get the blessing my from my orthopedic surgeon. I’m so stoked to have developed skills as a newbie, but also anxious to get back in court so I don’t lose them. Best of luck to your foot.
No bueno…
