A year ago, I was just trying to survive league night without donating points.
This year has felt different.
I’ve spent pretty much the whole season on Court 2 in both leagues, and every once in a while I sneak onto Court 1 long enough to remind myself how fast things get up there. 😅
That progress feels good, especially knowing where I started.
But the real test is coming.
Indoor season at Jesters and Metro Pickleball humbled me last year. I finished around Court 6, so my goal this fall and winter is simple:
Touch Court 4 at least once or twice.
Nothing crazy. Just keep climbing.
That’s probably what I like most about league play. You always know where you stand, and there is always another court to chase.
If you’re looking for a fun or competitive league and have no idea where to start, message me. Blair and Morn run some great ones through Michigan Pickleball, and I’m happy to point you in the right direction from a player’s perspective.
